Ultrasound is a simple, fast and non-invasive exam that is radiation-free. It uses ultrasound to create an image.

  • Abdominal ultrasound
  • Pelvic ultrasound (+/- endovaginal)
  • Breast ultrasound
  • Thyroid ultrasound
  • Testicular ultrasound
  • Surface ultrasound
  • Musculoskeletal ultrasound (articular infiltration, tendon, bursa/calcium lavage/cyst puncture by ultrasound, tenotomy)
  • Prostate ultrasound (+/- biopsy)
  • Cardiac ultrasound

Doppler allows a more specific study of the cardiovascular circulation.

  • Carotid doppler
  • Arterial doppler of upper or lower limbs
  • Venous doppler of upper or lower limbs
  • Renal doppler
  • Abdominal doppler
  • Cardiac doppler ultrasound

Upon arrival, our staff welcomes you to check-in for your exam on the 2nd floor.

The examination duration varies between 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the type of exam and the region examined.

Ultrasound involves applying a probe against the skin (gel-coated) in front of the organ to be explored. This probe emits ultrasound through the tissues which are returned as echoes. This signal is collected and analyzed by the system, which transmits a live image to be interpreted by the radiologist.
