PREPARE FOR THE EXAM (Bone density)
Preparation :
  • Avoid taking Calcium supplements or osteoporosis medication for 48 hours prior to the exam.
  • Make sure you didn’t have an investigation requiring contrast (barium) or a nuclear medicine studyless than 10 days prior to your osteodensitometry.
     
When arriving for your appointment, make sure you have:
  • Your original requisition
  • Your Medicare card (RAMQ)
  • X-Rays of your dorsal and /or lumbar spine if taken less than 6 months ago

Please arrive 30 minutes ahead of time to take care of parking and registration
