12:00 pm – Liquid meal: clear soup (broth), plain gelatin (from dry gelatin powder), 225 ml (8 oz.) of liquid. NO MILK OR CREAM. 12:30 pm (or ½ hour after the meal) – Drink the whole bottle of Citro-Mag with ice. You should expect a vigorous intestinal purge 3 to 6 hours after ingesting this preparation. 1:00 pm – 225 ml (8 oz.) of liquid. NO MILK OR CREAM. 3:00 pm – Take 3 Dulcolax tablets with a large glass of water. Swallow the tablets one by one without chewing. 4:00 pm – 225 ml (8 oz.) of liquid. NO MILK OR CREAM. 5:00 pm – Liquid dinner: clear soup (broth), plain gelatin (from dry gelatin powder), 225 ml (8 oz.) of liquid. NO MILK OR CREAM. 6:00 pm – 225 ml (8 oz.) of liquid. NO MILK OR CREAM. 9:00 pm – 225 ml (8 oz.) of liquid. NO MILK OR CREAM. 10:00 pm – Remove the Dulcolax suppository from its packaging. Insert it into the rectum. Wait at least 10-15 minutes before evacuating, even if the urge is strong. At bedtime: 225 ml (8 oz.) of liquid. Drink additional quantities of the recommended liquids if you wake up during the night. NO MILK OR CREAM. DAY OF THE EXAM No food may be eaten until the exam has been completed. One glass of the recommended liquid is allowed before the exam. NO MILK OR CREAM. |

Arthrography and infiltration |
Allergy to iodine: for some infiltrations, iodine may be replaced by air. Physiotherapy: plan your physiotherapy appointment within 4 hours following an infiltration in the shoulder for capsulitis (distensive arthrography), to promote the action of the medication and facilitate physiotherapy exercises when the shoulder is less painful while under the effect of the anesthetic. |
